Lessons In Weeding

For this project I was tasked with designing a book cover for the short story "Lessons In Weeding", the story itself is about the main character describing their struggles with bodily grooming and comparing the process to that of lawn/yard care. To reflect the metaphor of the story I took images depicting a woman’s shaved leg and some tools used in body care and put them in an outdoor setting. The typography ties itself into the composition by appearing as if it was shaved into the grass itself conveying the story’s plot in a lighthearted, and engaging manner.
